Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

The Finance Business Partner Immigration New Zealand (INZ) role reports to the Head of Finance Business Partnering INZ within the Finance Business Partnering branch of F+P.  In this role, you would partner with the INZ portfolio GMs and the Head of Finance Business Partnering INZ to set the direction and drive the implementation of INZ’s financial strategy. While doing so, you will ensure alignment with the overall Ministry’s strategic plan and stated outcomes. 

You would use your extensive financial expertise to work with the Head of Finance Business Partnering INZ to effectively lead the financial management and support the non-financial management processes. You will achieve this by collaborating with your stakeholders and by providing insightful financial advice to influence the strategic and operational decision-making processes. 

You would effectively influence senior stakeholders and provide assurance to the Senior Leadership Team by ensuring financial management processes, procedures and reporting comply with legislative requirements and best practice.

About the branch
The Finance Business Partnering branch, which sits within F+P, works in partnership with business groups, supporting them to deliver their services effectively and efficiently, allowing the Ministry to achieve its outcomes. The Finance Business Partnering branch is the conduit between F+P and the business groups.

We are looking for a self-driven and pragmatic CA (or equivalent) who has:

  • Significant experience in financial management & reporting within large, complex and diverse organisations
  • Experience in driving outcomes and managing diverse stakeholder interests
  • Experience team player who is comfortable with collaborating and contributing at senior leadership team level 
  • Ability to engage and establish effective working relationships 
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
  • Must be CAANZ qualified or equivalent
