
Logistics & Purchasing Officer (Mechanical Manufacturing)

The role has variety and involves proactive customer service at the heart of it to our internal clients. You will be loading data into our computer system, talking with suppliers as well as our in-house engineers, dealing with purchase orders, checking invoices, dealing with import/export as we are also an MPI approved transitional site - we export our products worldwide. You may have had previous experience as a project or service administrator, accounts, invoicing, dispatch, purchasing or warehousing. The role will be tailored to fit your skill set and experience.
What do we do? Windsor Engineering Group Ltd are a successful engineering and manufacturing business. We design, build and service industrial equipment that are mission critical for our clients, in particular the timber and diary industries.
To be successful in this role you are likely to have some of the following:
- Excellent customer service, good phone manner
- Strong attention to detail and be meticulous with numbers, loading data or updating pricing, cost or stock count
- Be proactive and work with minimal supervision to ensure the timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and inwards goods documentation
- A reasonable skill level with computers is necessary for this role
- Answer the external telephone – previous Contact Centre experience with orders/finance/dispatch/warehousing would cross over to this role very well
- Have excellent time keeping, proven reliability and seeking a long-term career option
- Be a good Communicator in both written and spoken English
- Some manual handling may be involved
- Training provided in the follow areas: , MPI Accredited Person, First Aid certificate, Forklift training
- Must be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drugs test
This is a full-time position (40 hours) but our company recognised that family and lifestyle are import and some flexibility may be available for the right candidate.
