About The Role:
Working closely with the Group Leadership Team this specialist position will champion all safety and wellbeing strategy and priorities, providing coaching and advice to managers and ensuring all systems, policies and procedures are integrated and applied across operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expertise to the Board, Group Leadership Team and Managers, across the full range of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing portfolio
- Building key stakeholder partner relationships to develop and influence safety at all levels across the group
- Strengthen the approach to wellbeing, leading a co-design of the new framework & its implementation
- The H&S Management System (MANGO), monthly board reporting, leading H&S Forums & Audits
- Leading incident investigations (iCAM), and seeking opportunities to improve H&S performance
- Oversight of the quality of all H&S and Wellbeing training and inductions.

Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Safety and Wellbeing Business Partnership role, leading safety and wellbeing strategy and operational priorities
- A strong affinity with the rural sector and/or heavy-duty high-risk environments, supporting a multiple-site trans-tasman organisation
- A down to earth, practical approach along with strong leadership skills and success working across stakeholder groups in a strategic and operational capacity
- Experience with change management techniques, coaching managers and engaging the workforce in collaborative co-design to deliver improved safety & wellbeing outcomes
- Relevant qualifications and excellent knowledge of H&S legislation and regulations (NZ and Australia), plus experience with Safety Two principles.
