About the role:

As a Project Director at TBIG you’ll be providing project leadership and direction, acting as a trusted advisor to your clients, and working closely with your teams, empowering the next generation of PM talent.

This is a senior position forming part of our Northern leadership team, and the wider national Project Director Group. We’re partnering with some of the best - local projects include medium to large scale projects for government, commercial and private sector clients.

Offering plenty of challenge and opportunity for growth, this is a senior role where you’ll:

  • Interface with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead the delivery of major projects to successful outcomes.
  • Scope and collaborate on business development, leadership initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop skills and experience to enhance your Project Director capability.
  • Coach and mentor the next generation.

You’ll be supported by a high calibre team of Project Managers – we are all about seeing you fulfil your potential.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant Project/Construction management experience, ideally in a Consultancy.
  • The ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions.
  • Experience in vertical build project delivery across a diverse portfolio, ideally including base build, commercial development and commercial fitout projects.
  • A passion for sharing your knowledge, supporting and developing your team.
  • Detailed knowledge and the preparation of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting. Experience with NZS3910 contracts.
  • Strong leadership coordinating design and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of relevant New Zealand building regulations and legislation and a strong focus on health and safety.
  • Expert design and construction programming and financial management. Strong computer literacy including project management tools.
  • Highly organised with good time management / people management skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
