A chance to have impact…

Are you a hungry growth marketer looking for an opportunity to take charge and make a real difference?

At Boma we have clarified our strategy, achieved product-market fit, and undertaken a rigorous process to better understand our customer drivers. We’re now poised for rapid growth — which is where you come in.

We’re ready for a Head of Growth (HoG) to join us and systematically drive Boma to the next level, unlocking our latent potential and taking our offerings to the world.

As part of a small but mighty team, this is a pivotal role in the organisation, demanding a blend of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and innovative approaches to expand the company's market presence, customer base, and revenue streams.

You will be reporting directly to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (Sunil Unka), and collaborating across the company to identify global growth opportunities, optimise processes, and implement scalable solutions.

Boma is an ambitious startup and this role suits someone with an entrepreneurial mindset (a passion for innovation and problem-solving), a hunger for learning, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.

You’ll ideally have the following capabilities and attributes:

  • Proven track record of driving significant growth, ideally in global markets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Dissatisfaction with the status quo and BAU, with a relentless drive to do and be better.
  • Ability to take charge, and willing and able to hold yourself and others to account.
  • Effective collaborator, with a desire to contribute and add value, and who knows that it takes everyone performing at their best to be successful.
  • Ability to learn. Not only gaining knowledge and insights, but able to grok.
  • Genuine care for and about our customers, their experience and the value we deliver to them. Treating our offerings as a “life-defining” moment.

This role is for you if you want to:

  • Join a vision-driven, values-based team that’s focused on changing the world by building better leaders
  • Work with people who are genuinely curious and invested in learning and improving
  • Own the growth engine for a business on the cusp of great things
  • Add value and have global impact
  • Be part of a hands-on startup environment where you can try all sorts of things
  • Change the (leadership development) game and build the new playbook

What’s in it for you?

At Boma, we invest in growing a culture of belonging, performance and development.

Our high-trust culture is defined and embedded by our Behavioural Aspirations: how we commit to showing up together to deliver on our ambitions. (By the way, our Behavioural Aspirations are a great way to work out whether you could thrive at Boma — if they light you up, this is probably the right place for you!)

Our onboarding includes attendance at the Dare to Lead™ programme and an educational experience about Aotearoa New Zealand’s indigenous context.

Our hauora (wellbeing) policy creates space for all team members to use two hours per week of their full-time working hours for active and intentional investment in wellbeing.

We have a clearly articulated and ongoing commitment to DEI and cultural competency, supported with tangible actions.

At Boma, it is far more important for us to be learning than it is for us to be right. Continuous learning is a constant in all that we do, and we invest in it at all levels, including but not limited to multifaceted professional development opportunities.

We operate as a hybrid and flexible workplace, and while we have a newly renovated co-working office space in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand, we welcome employees from anywhere.

At Boma we are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects Aotearoa New Zealand, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you have any support or access requirements, please tell us when you apply so that we can assist you through the recruitment process.
