About our team

You will work with leaders and staff within the Corporate Finance team to deliver high quality M&A, valuation, strategic and financial advisory solutions for clients ranging from medium sized businesses through to high profile corporate clients and public sector entities. You will be responsible for providing high quality practical advisory services and will have a high level of direct client contact.
We’re seeking an experienced Manager or Associate Director to join our Auckland team who has strong general corporate finance experience including M&A, valuations, modelling and strategic advice. You will play a strategic role in helping PwC's Corporate Finance team achieve its growth objectives.
About the role / Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga
As a Manager / Associate Director within our Corporate Finance team, you will:
- Take ownership of the M&A process and overall execution on transactions and/or deliver high quality valuation, strategic and financial advisory solutions to clients
- Take a lead role on engagements to build or review financial models
- Manage client relationships
- Be responsible for the coaching and development of junior staff
- Play a strategic role in helping our team achieve its growth objectives
- Develop knowledge through appropriate research, keeping current with firm’s technical and industry guidance, training and interactions with internal PwC specialists
Skills and experience / Ngā pūkenga kei a koe
- 4-6+ years’ experience in a corporate finance, commercial or financial markets position
- A broadly relevant tertiary qualification
- CFA and/or CA designation is desirable but not essential
- Prior experience working with clients and producing high quality reports
- Advanced user of MS Excel plus capable with MS Power Point, MS Office and the Google Suite
- Financial statement analysis experience
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A self-motivated, proactive and confident approach to your work
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- A team focused style with some experience in mentoring and inspiring team members
