What you'll be doing - Te whakamahere
This role is key to enabling NZTE's business objectives by identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. This is your opportunity to deliver world class Business Intelligence and make a real difference through designing and developing quality dashboards, tools and reports that drive value from the organisation's information.

You'll exercise technical leadership in the design process for Business Intelligence projects and translate reporting requirements into useful and easy to understand data dashboards and visualisations and create data models to support these.

You will be open, curious, collaborative and be able to build strong relationships. You'll have a knack of adapting your communication style to your audience and instinctively deliver information and data in a visually compelling and accurate way.

What you'll need to be successful - Ō Pūkenga
You'll have proven experience in delivering exceptional Business Intelligence through solution design, analysis, visualisation and creating data models and user-friendly dashboards. You'll be highly computer literate and have experience a Data Warehouse environment and in one or more current Business Intelligence applications, preferably the Microsoft stack.

You'll have experience in using Microsoft Power BI including creating measures with DAX, SQL Server, Analysis Services, and working with and creating data models (Fact and Dimension tables). You'll also have experience in using Azure technologies such as SQL Server and it would be advantageous if you have experience in using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Purview.

You'll have an amazing attention to detail and a curious mindset and use your natural problem-solving skills to proactively identify ways to improve processes, systems, and practices to ensure operational efficiency. You'll be a strong listener and communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders and are able to translate technical terms into non-technical terms.
