VP Engineering

Due to expansion and growth, this global SaaS is looking for a new VP of Engineering. You'll be on the senior leadership team helping to quickly build out enterprise-level solutions, manage and coach the engineering department and ensure you are hiring diverse and hybrid capability that can continually improve the team and product success.
About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
Expectations
- Proactively identify and address operational risks (e.g. regressions in future development, failures from third parties, etc.)
- Provide thought leadership and actively contribute to the company and/or product strategy.
- Find solutions to our biggest technical challenges
- Coordinate team development practices
- Mentor and guide Tech leadership, Principal and Senior engineers
- Stay up to date on technologies and recommend the ones that should be adopted.
- Win the broad confidence of the engineering department regarding good approaches to back-end development.
- Work alongside VP Product to establish product timelines, features releases and technical strategy
- Actively encourage good coding practices through linting and other automatic checks, code reviews, department education, and other means
About You | Mōu
You will already have had vast experience in successful SaaS, and have a proven record for scaling growth for a global SaaS product. You'll have exceptional human skills be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally at all levels. You will be active in your pursuit of excellence
