There are two opportunities available as Social Media and Engagement Producer to get stuck in and grow your career in a vibrant, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.  

The opportunity - Te tūranga

Working as part of our Digital News Team and wider newsroom you will have a passion for data analytics and audience engagement in the digital news space. You'll be the link between our audiences and our content ensuring we create two-way engagement with both existing and new audiences which will enable us to build trust and grow our audience. You will take the lead in utilising real-time and social data which will drive decisions relating to what we publish, how we gather news and assess the trends and behaviours that drive audience engagement.

What we're looking for - Tā mātou e kimi nei

To be successful in the role you will possess demonstrated experience in the audience and/or social media space, be proficient gathering website/social media analytics combined with good journalistic experience. Familiarity with news and current affairs apps, websites and digital profiles is essential, and you'll have a good understanding of New Zealand and international digital news markets.
