Senior Leader | Technology, Operational and Regulatory Risk

Opportunity to lead and grow Deloitte’s Technology Risk portfolio in the South Island (based in Christchurch).

About the team

We are a diverse team with diverse range of skill sets - amongst our team we have a keen mountaineer, a table tennis champion and other hidden talents which you might discover. We have the largest risk advisory services team in the South Island with extensive knowledge in IT Advisory, Security Architecture, Cyber Risk, Forensic, Discovery, Governance, Risk Management and Internal Audit.

About you

• • Strong communication and relationship building skills with ability to influence clients and teams.
  • Ability to converse with senior client and firm leaders on a range of business topics that are issue rather that toolset driven.
  • 8+ years’ experience in industry/business consulting role specifically involving business or IT transformation and risk management disciplines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mind-set which lends itself to “connecting the dots” and delivering excellent client outcomes.
  • An exceptional commitment to quality and client service, adapting to variety of client styles to create valued and trusted relationships.
  • Market eminence and experience with developing business opportunities
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and disciplines and an ability to articulate how business and technology risk can be identified and mitigated
  • Track record of working with high-performing teams and an ability to nurture and grow highly talented individuals

What you’ll do:

• • Guide and develop high-performing teams through the design and implementation of technology and data risk solutions to enhance security, increase efficiency and support achievement of business goals.
  • Advise clients on establishing or improving end-to-end risk management systems, processes and frameworks to enhance strategic alignment with business goals, enable effective decision making and response, and meet regulatory obligations.
  • Advise clients on solving control design issues based on industry leading practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret business analyses to identify underlying issues, patterns and relationships, and make data-driven targeted recommendations.
