Senior Landscape Architect - Pōneke/Wellington

Contemplating a return home? Feed your passion for design in NZ and help deliver projects through all stages, from strategic and conceptual design, through to realisation on site. 

We’re looking for a creative, experienced, and people-orientated Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Wellington, New Zealand.

We have several interesting long-term projects of varying scales and complexity underway, with others in the pipeline. While we’ve got a great team working on these - talented landscape architects working collaboratively with ecologists, urban designers and planners and other consultants - we need another capable pair of hands to help steer our growing design team.  As part of this role, you’ll help guide and further build on our design capability, while also adding to your own professional growth in our cool little Capital. 

We’re looking for candidates who are creative and collaborative in their approach, and possess the following skills and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• A minimum of 10 years professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
• Exceptional client relationship skills, and the ability to build enduring relationships quickly.
• Excellent graphic skills with experience in the use of a range of digital tools and techniques, including Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD and SketchUp, Revit (desirable) as well as hand drawing.
• A range of project experience that demonstrates sound project management skills – this needs to span the breadth of the design process, from strategic and conceptual design through to detailed documentation, overseeing implementation, and construction oversight.
• Strong people skills, with experience leading others on projects.
• Experience providing construction oversight is also essential.
• An eye for detail and an ability to think both spatially and laterally.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively. 
• Clear and well-articulated written and oral communication skills.
• Professional registration with the NZILA or overseas equivalent, (or have an interest in    achieving this if you’ve not done so already).
