We take great pride in planning, creating, and delivering virtual, hybrid and physical trade missions and business events in a variety of sizes and formats for the good of New Zealand.

 

What you will be doing: Te whakamahere

 

This is a pivotal role in a team of experts that deliver world-class business events. You will ensure we embrace and embed digital innovation and best practice for how we manage the delivery of NZTE’s accountabilities, with a particular focus on international trade missions plus other projects that arise within the Missions and Events team and Customer Solutions Group.  You will lead complex projects, building and managing relationships internally and externally to enhance trust and confidence in the team and our capabilities. You will be a master of all, with the ability to:

 

· Initiate and facilitate skilful collaboration within NZTE and across NZ Inc, particularly with our international teams, and between NZTE and other organisations, NZTE customers and government agencies

· Build organisational trust and confidence in the Missions and Events team and Customer Solutions Group

· Ensure the Missions and Events team is viewed and utilised as a trusted advisor by our One Global Team.

· Manage multiple projects with autonomy, pro-actively managing risks, issues, and quality to optimize project delivery while planning and monitoring budget allocation

· Continually monitor and refine processes and systems to ensure best practice and consistency

You will be a great communicator, resilient, well organised and the type of person who loves to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in! You will enjoy autonomy and bring experience to deliver to a high standard, at times with few details, with the skill of developing strategic and operational plans. Your passion to deliver, eye for detail and conscientious approach to your work will ensure team fit and will play a key part in your success. Ideally you will understand and bring knowledge of NZ Inc, fostering collaboration internally and externally. You will be known as a trusted advisor, great with influencing and the ability to motivate and lead physical and virtual project teams.
