We have our own manufacturing spaces in Cambridge, New Zealand and Los Angeles, California. Products that we develop in Cambridge are often made the next day in LA.
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated engineer to join our Torrance team to take the lead on technical matters and drive the manufacturing of Fiasco Case products.
Ideal candidates will have an active interest in manufacturing technology and a passion for making things.
In this role you will provide hands on technical support overseeing all machinery and manufacturing processes at our Torrance shop which produces both Fiasco Cases and WFH Desk products. Additionally you will lead the manufacturing of Fiasco Case products. (Our Workshop Manager leads the manufacturing of WFH desk products.)
This is a workshop based role and involves daily:
- CNC router operations including CAM programming work
- Assembly of cases, inserts and other Fiasco products
- Design work as required for immediate production needs
- Liaison with our New Zealand based design and engineering team
Our manufacturing methodology is centred around CNC routers and premium quality Baltic birch plywood.

- A proven history of building, making things and an interest in innovation.
- Experience in CNC based manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications
- A trade qualification, ideally Joinery, Carpentry or Furniture.
Or
- Diploma or degree in engineering.
Or
- A proven track record of being generally clever.
