Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role  

 

The Change Coordinator will be an integral member of a core Pacific asset and facilities team and will support the Transition of the

Pacific asset and facilities management arrangement from one that is largely self-delivered, to an outsourced model (the Model).

In doing so, this will ensure the Ministry and its people are prepared and equipped to exploit all opportunities that may arise.

 

Support the Change Lead in the planning and delivery of change management, communications, stakeholder engagement, and contract establishment activities to ensure our people are prepared and equipped to exploit all the opportunities presented by the new asset management arrangement.

The salary range for this role is between $87,672 - $103,143 total remuneration, negotiable depending on skills and experience.

The total remuneration is inclusive of our 3% employer contribution.

We’d like to hear from you if you have the following skills, experience, and ability to:  

 

  • Very strong coordination skills and change experience
  • Experience delivering or supporting the delivery of a change programme.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate communications to all stakeholders to ensure Project deliverables are met in line with the Change and Transition Plan.
  • Coordination of the delivery of the stakeholder engagement plans, and ensure the Project maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders for the duration of the Transition.
  • Adapt and/or develop business processes, policies, and materials for MFAT to operate optimally in the new Model, including processes relating to end-to-end property management, health and safety, data collection and storage, emergency operations, and effective communication.
  • Coordinate regular reporting to management and governance forums on the progress of the Project, including identifying change risks and effective mitigations.
  • Support maintaining an overall view of the timing of change impacts from the Project and other significant Ministry change initiatives.
  • Support the establishment of the foundations of an enduring relationship with Downer, which reflects the Ministry’s values.
  • Remain agile in approach to the Transition to the Model.
  • Support the Change Lead with contract management functions until such time as a steady-state management team has been established.
  • Coordinate and booking of all travel required for the Project.
  • Support the clear handover of information to the steady-state management team when that team is established.
  • Business Analyst skills would also be ideal but not required.

 

Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Māori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) into your work.
