Their vertically integrated plantation and mills business is in New Zealand’s second largest domestic processing region. With forests covering around 80,000 hectares, they harvest more than 1.2 million cubic metres each year. The forests are in their fourth rotation and are managed sustainably and responsibly, with the business being certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and a member of the Strategy and Performance Team, the Management and System Accountant will focus on leading and managing improvements across reporting, processes, data and analytics. You will provide strategic and operational financial advice to operational leaders whilst ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial and reporting processes. Your day to day will involve producing regular management reports, dashboards and insights to help managers better understand and manage their business units. In addition, you will provide accounting support to the Strategy and Performance Team, which includes the monthly and yearly accounting processes. You will have the opportunity to lead system and process improvements, including imbedding and integrating NetSuite and Adaptive.

This role offers a real opportunity to progress in the longer term, therefore we are looking for someone who wants to build a career at OneFortyOne. You will be a business orientated accounting professional with that unique mix of technical, analytical and interpersonal skills. CA qualified, or working towards this, you will have several year’s practical experience within large organisations or businesses with high standards and levels of compliance. A breadth and depth of experience with integrated accounting systems as well as modelling and forecasting is required.
