Just imagine your future with us...
At Aurecon, we see the future through a very different lens. Do you?
Innovation, eminence, and digital are at the heart of everything we do. Are you excited about the future?

Are you driven by the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complex projects around the country and to learn from the best? We are.

Diversity is at the core of everything we do. We work together to create a culture based on respect, trust, and inclusiveness. Our differences are what fuel our creativity. In 2019, we were the first NZ engineering company to achieve the Rainbow Tick certification for diversity and inclusion, and this has been maintained every year since. In October 2020, Aurecon was named Australasia's Most Innovative Company, and in April 2021 we were recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand's Best Places to Work by the Australian Financial Review.

We embrace flexible working and are always open to discussing your individual needs so that you get to create your own experience with us.

What will you do?
Our Tauranga Land Infrastructure team is looking for a junior-to-intermediate Civil Engineer with at least 3 years' NZ-based experience to join their friendly, high-performing team. You will join our Land Infrastructure service group, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that bring ideas to life for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects - from rural access roads to complex freeways, toll roads, rail stations, system interchanges, and water security.

We know that the work we do is vital in assisting our world's economic development and it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life:

  • Create effective and appropriate civil designs by taking guidance from more senior engineers
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team on designs, with resources within our offices across New Zealand and our offshore centres to deliver quality design outcomes for our clients
  • Be part of a national and global design team, enabling you to drive quality and standardisation, share information and developments, and have a wide support network

We know today's complex challenges can be solved only through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.

What can you bring to the team?
To be successful in your application, you will need:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and self-motivation
  • A relevant tertiary Engineering qualification
  • Skills and experience with the design and documentation of civil infrastructure to New Zealand standards
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors
  • Design skills with a background and interest in works such as roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, and pavement design
  • Practical knowledge of industry design software such as Civil 3D or 12D

Our Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together and there will be at least one that resonates strongly with you. Because of this, we know that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to Bring Ideas to Life. Does that sound like you?
