What you will be doing: Te whakamahere
You will lead a skilled team of offshore Investment professionals focused on attracting Foreign Direct Investment into New Zealand. A critical part of the International Investment Leadership team, you’llbe responsible for the US Investment strategy and leading its related activities across North America. You will be focused on cultivation and delivery of investor networks, investment pipeline and successful deal outcomes.
Your key customers will be US based strategic multinationals, financial investors and private investors and you will also work with New Zealand growth companies and stakeholders for the attraction of foreign direct investment. You will also have responsibility for building the pipeline of high value investors into New Zealand’s active investment migrant programme.
Well-connected in the Investment eco-system, you will have extensive investor networks and be a key driver in attracting investment into New Zealand. With knowledge of New Zealand industry sectors, you’ll adeptly identify investor or strategic multinational motivations to connect them with the right opportunities and showcase the value of propositions.
You will be a credible leader with exceptional relationship, networking, communication, and influencing skills. You can demonstrate your significant leadership track record in the Financial/Investment/Venture Capital/Private Banking sector, and commitment to growing yourself and your team.

You’ll be a people leader with great coaching and mentoring skills within a financial services environment. You’ll be experienced in identifying the right skillsets for your team and developing these in your people.
It’d be great if you:
·Have demonstrated experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Private Banking, or Investment Banking
·Are well connected with the investment ecosystem in the United States including UHNW, Family Office, and Fund Managers and you can carry in-depth deal discussions
·Understand the NZ business environment and how US based investors can best make an impact

Please note that salary for this role is influenced by local market expectations, an indicative salary for the role is:
·San Francisco, California; $185,000 - $225,000 base plus metallic platinum medical insurance plan, including dental and vision coverage.
