Focus Technology Group is ready to take the next step in their progression.  The current CEO will concentrate on other opportunities within the business, therefore a new role of General Manager has been created.

Founded from Invercargill in 1994, Focus has seven branches across the South Island with dedicated specialists providing services and support across a full spectrum of business technology. Our business is approximately 70% ICT products and services and 30% business software and services, with an annual turnover in excess of $15M.

Currently with 75 employees, we provide the latest technology, services and ongoing support to our clients.   We provide professional, innovative and tailored solutions, ranging from advice on IT, business software and network infrastructure consultancy, project management to software development, support services and cloud-based solutions for clients throughout New Zealand and Australia.

About You
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a General Manager to deliver on our strategy and business goals, oversee operations and lead a dedicated and innovative team of staff.  This newly established executive leadership position requires a commercially savvy person with experience enhancing business systems and managing service delivery.

Other key aspects of the role include:

• Continuous improvement across business systems and processes
• Management of administrative and operational systems, facilities and assets
• Oversight of all operational activities such as procurement and risk management
• HR and health and safety management

Although a technical background would be advantageous, our priority is to find a proven leader who will display an influential leadership style that encourages teamwork, inclusion and a culture of professionalism and achievement.  In addition, you will be an expert relationship builder who can work effectively with the Managing Director and shareholders, as well as key clients.
