We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to act as a trusted advisor to the Regional Director of Europe by providing high-level administrative and operational support, including helping to coordinate different projects and events.

 

Who are we - Ko Te Taurapa Tūhono tēnei: 

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is New Zealand's international business development agency. You will be joining a team that is dedicated to working with some of New Zealand's most forward-thinking companies, helping them to grow internationally bigger, better, faster for the good of New Zealand. 

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join NZTE on a six-month maternity leave contract. If you want to build your career and get exposure to diverse business cultures, then this could be your next move.

What you'll be doing - Te whakamahere: 

Reporting to the Regional Director of our Europe Division, we are looking for a high-energy experienced Executive Assistant (EA) to join our London office where you would join a wider international team that makes a real difference for New Zealand businesses wanting to grow internationally. 

As an Executive Assistant, you'll provide high-level administrative and operational support and act as a trusted advisor to the Regional Director, Europe. You'll use your administration expertise, excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills to successfully work with key stakeholders across the Europe Leadership team, our wider leadership team, and our global organisation to provide essential support for both BAU and project work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Supporting the Regional Director with reports, team planning and leadership team meetings 
  • Providing general administration expertise to the Regional Director and Regional Operations Manager 
  • Project and event coordination support including leading the delivery and implementation of smaller projects
     

What you'll need to be successful - Ō Pūkenga: 

We're looking for someone who has a customer-focused mindset who have a flexible and adaptable approach to everything that they do. You'll be an experienced Executive Assistant, where you have coordinated projects and have been involved in the delivery of larger projects. 

You'll be an amazing relationship builder and are able to build relationships with stakeholders in our international offices. You'll process outstanding communication skills - written and spoken and you'll be a people person that is passionate about building team culture and being an active member of our one global team. 

You'll have exceptional prioritisation skills with the flexibility to multitask when priorities change. We expect that you will be self-directed, self-motivated and be process improvement focussed. You'll have a strong administration background, be tech savvy (MS Office), and most importantly be a self-starter. 

A sense of humour is a must, as is having strong time management skills and being a natural solution finder with high levels of initiative, with a resourceful approach to achieve the desired outcome. You'll also be very agile and resilient under pressure and during change.
