The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you will steer all global financial activities of the organisation, significantly influencing the company's strategic direction and objectives. With an ongoing mandate for growth, the CFO must set high standards, using financial insights to challenge the executive team, sharpen commercial focus, and ensure accountability.
As a key partner to the CEO, the CFO will work closely with the executive team to achieve strategic goals, maintaining a strong relationship with the board as the organisation’s financial representative. Your innovative, entrepreneurial input will be critical across all facets of the business. The CEO wants a CFO who challenges the status quo and contributes beyond finance.
The role also includes financial leadership, administration, management of information systems, investor relations, and promoting continuous improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities, include:
• Driving commercial intensity and performance.
• Leading a diverse portfolio, including Information Technology, Administration, Investor Relations and Finance.
• Oversee a team of approximately 40 professionals, across multiple countries.
• Champion growth initiatives and operational efficiencies and enhancements.
• Oversee mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with the board, and uphold environmental, social, and governance principles.
• Navigate the specific accounting requirements of a publicly listed organisation.
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant with proven expertise in both enhancing operational performance across a diverse business portfolio and showing where you have made an innovative contribution at an organisational level.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic and analytical skills, strong leadership, and effective communication abilities. Experience managing non-financial portfolios and the ability to juggle multiple priorities, seamlessly switching between big-picture and detailed focus, are essential.
The successful candidate will effortlessly transition between practicality and executive presence. Adaptability is key, as you will be managing diverse challenges in a very dynamic environment, often presenting challenge beyond you or the organisations control. Lastly, your resilience and agility to cope with an ever-changing world, needs to be unwavering and will be critical to your success.
