New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is New Zealand's international business development agency.  We work with some of New Zealand’s most forward-thinking companies, helping them to grow internationally. With the recent Free Trade Agreement between New Zealand and the UK it is an exciting time to join our mission!

What you’ll be doing - Te whakamahere

Based in the central London New Zealand House, you will be focused on working with New Zealand companies in the Food & Beverage and Consumer Goods sectors. You will support New Zealand businesses to develop and execute their business growth plans by; providing insight on the realities of the market, developing solutions that meet our customers’ ambitions, identifying potential in-market partners, helping develop new channels to market and building growth opportunities.

You will leverage your existing commercial relationships and be supported in further developing networks across the sector, assisting our customers already in or looking to enter the UK and Irish Food & Beverage Consumer Goods market, with the aim of converting opportunities into value. It is preferred that you have experience in business development, marketing strategy experience in this sector with experience participating in consulting or management also highly valued.

What you’ll need to be successful - Ō Pūkenga

With at least 5 years of experience in the industry, you will have a robust generalist background in Food & Beverage and/or Consumer Goods, coupled with a strong understanding of the challenges involved in growing a successful international business in the UK and Ireland.

You will have the intellectual agility to quickly diagnose business challenges and research and identify opportunities beyond your core area of expertise.  Building new relationships and networks comes naturally to you and you will have well-developed listening, influencing and communication skills.  You will be versed in the challenges of scaling and commercialising with solid experience across a variety of business disciplines such as business consulting, sales, marketing, account management through multiple roles in your career.
