Associate (Senior Accountant)
We are seeking a motivated person to take up a senior position within our progressive and supportive accounting practice in Invercargill.
We require a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic accountant with a sound knowledge of the agriculture sector and a desire to build strong relationships with our valued client base.
The successful applicant for this role will have full ownership of the annual accounting and taxation compliance process for a valuable group of clients to our firm. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like a supportive environment to progress their career, develop their technical and relationship skill set and build enduring relationships with clients. It will be a varied role requiring the accountant to regularly make field visits to their clients.
Duties included in this role:
- Completion of group and/or complex Financial Statements and Tax Returns.
- Reviewing others work and assisting Managers and Partners.
- Providing general accounting, taxation and business advice to clients.
- Liaising with our clients and carrying out value add work.
- Provide solutions for clients on business structures and tax.
- Preparing management information for clients.
- Building a professional network of referrers and obtaining new clients.
- Developing strong internal networks within our firm to leverage others expertise.
The successful applicant will need to have:
- A progressive attitude and a strong desire to provide a high level of service to their clients.
- A strong drive to build relationships with their clients, professionals and colleagues.
- Demonstrated the skills required to manage the end to end accounting process in a dynamic office environment, whilst coping with a variety of competing priorities.
- CA qualification or significant relevant experience.
- Solid accounting experience.
