Te tūranga - The role

This position will provide support in delivering key supervisory strategy, policy and frameworks as part of our commitment to modernising our regulatory supervision approach and ensuring the New Zealand financial system is fit for the future.

This is a key leadership position within our Supervision Department and you will be one of the go to people for specialist technical knowledge in the areas of change management and technology. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and providing mentoring to staff across the department.

You'll bring the following:

  • Broad-based experience in a bank, financial institution or supervisory authority is highly desired
  • An understanding of change management principles
  • A good understanding of the mechanics of legislation
  • Strong relationship management skills with the proven ability to influence, collaborate, guide and coach other colleagues
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills w ith a can do attitude and pragmatic approach
  • Technology savvy. CRM and Power BI experience would be a plus
  • A structured approach with experience in design and process methodologies
