 New Zealand Rugby’s (NZR) purpose is to lead, grow, support, and promote New Zealand’s game. It represents New Zealand on rugby organisations internationally, has ultimate responsibility for the performance of the All Blacks, Black Ferns, and other men’s and women’s teams in black and, in partnership with the 26 Provincial Unions, contributes to the health of rugby at all levels. One of its goals is for rugby to be at the heart of our communities, and communities at the heart of rugby.

NZR now formally invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced governance professionals to join the NZR Board.

Highly sophisticated skills and experience to be considered carefully for the Board, which will assist and guide the decision-making process, amongst other factors, include:

·        Human Resources/Health and Safety/Risk;

·        Strong commercial acumen and financial investment;

·        International sports business and related networks;

·        In-depth marketing, broadcast, media, digital technology sector knowledge, both national and international;

·        A genuine connection to NZR’s kaupapa and values, including our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

A track record of building trust and transparency at board and/or complex stakeholder levels in dynamic organisations will be crucial in considering potential candidates for this position.
