Director - Specialist Supervision & Response

What are we doing and why?
We are growing and getting ready to deliver on our significant remit expansion. This Director role is not for the faint-hearted, drawing on the full range of the FMA's regulatory tools across - and outside - our remit. This role leads a team of strong, varied subject matter experts in sectors, entities, markets and regulatory practice. The Director will oversee triage, assessment, and management of specialist supervision, including AML/CFT and operational resilience; of acute supervisory situations; and of response to incidents, issues and cases including those elevated to the Investigations and Enforcement teams. This opportunity requires creativity in problem solving, calmness, depth and breadth of knowledge of regulatory tools, and the mana to lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams doing novel, complex and high-risk work.
