About the role
The Port is in a period of growth, both in terms of major capital programme and operational activity and has grown to the size that it requires focused and specialist expertise to ensure the port and marine portfolios are delivering optimal returns. This is a new created role of Commercial Port Manager, reporting to the General Manager Port & Marine.
As the Commercial Port Manager, your focus will be on key account management, growing existing revenue and developing new revenue streams through the port’s commercial operations. Specifically, this will include a range of activities from working with customers to understand their business, preparing and monitoring performance against budgets, ensuring systems are in place to measure and invoice revenue generating activities, preparing freight volume projections, developing pricing models and presenting robust businesses cases with new revenue opportunities.
About you
You will come with proven commercial ability with demonstrated experience in revenue growing roles. Have a strong financial skillset with the ability to analyse and assess potential opportunities, prepare projections and be able to assimilate and present a business case.
You will also have an ability to see the big picture, build excellent relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and have a high level of energy and motivation to make a difference to the Ports future.
